And we're live! After an a long period of development, some great early testing with other agents and teams, Realty Hook is ready for the masses.

So.. what is Realty Hook?

That's a great question, thanks for asking! In a nutshell, Realty Hook is meant to streamline connecting your tools together. If you're a technology-guru, you already know about Zapier, Make and other tools to manually make those connections. Setting that up can be tedious and is always a 1-way street - data leaves one system and goes in the other. When you update that 'other' system, it doesn't get updated where it originated from. Out of sync data is never a good thing!

If you're not a technology-guru, or if you just want to focus on selling homes, Realty Hook has a lot to offer you! It's been built to solve both of those problems with 2 strong development goals:

  • Understand the systems we integrate with - We work with agents and the teams developing the tools to create integration options that do what users need
  • 2-way sync - If you update something, you want that reflected in all your tools. Otherwise, you never know what's right or wrong.

With those goals, we've focused on the integration our team needed the most: Syncing tasks from Sierra Interactive to Google Task Lists. This is a very robust system that detects new tasks in Sierra Interactive, adds them to your Google Tasklist with additional contact information for easy on-the-go context and then works in reverse - Update the date, task information or simply mark it complete in your Google Tasklist and those changes will be updated in Sierra Interactive immediately as well. Simple and powerful.

Who Are We To Create this Magic?

I've been a realtor for 2 years now but have a background of more than 20 years of technology experience. After joining a very active real estate team, I learned quickly that there's an abundance of real estate tools out there.. but many times, you're at the whims of the developers of those tools on how they interact with each other.

My team was just transitioning to a combination of Sierra Interactive for a website and CRM along with Sisu for transaction management when I joined. The tools are great and there is some integration between them, but no Google integration for Sisu or Sierra Interactive. Instead of complaining, we saw an opportunity. Not just with those tools, but with so many more that agents use.

What's Next

Today, we're launching our Sierra and Google Tasklist integration. Here's some of what's planned next:

The above are just our initial development goals - Our most important roadmap features will be defined by our customers. We've already had some tremendous feedback from our early testers and are continuously incorporating those suggestions and feedback into our ever-expanding roadmap.
