Meet the Team

Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Master's degree in Circuit Design from the University of Texas at Austin. He worked at AMD for 10 years before starting his own web development company in 2008 catering to clients looking to add then-nacent social media functionality to their website.

In 2022, Alex became a Realtor with one of the top-selling RE/MAX teams in Florida - The Andreae Group. In his first full year, he was involved in over $16M in sales, but quickly realized that there were inefficiencies with the tools in use. CRMs didn't communicate well with transaction software, there weren't unified ways to manage to-dos and API-focused websites that promised to hook the tools together seemed to be written for rocket scientists, not agents.

Realty Hook was conceived to 'just work' taking our experience of helping non-tech clients add social networking features, we brought the same mantra to Realty Hook. Instead of countless options, we built Realty Hook for the 99% of agents just the first name field in 'x' to go into the first name field in 'y', be able to manage their workflow with ease and call it a day.

Melissa graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. Before graduation, she started work for Advanced Micro Devices, Inc in Austin, TX as a software developer. Her primary focus was on complex software technical applications for silicon debug. During her 8 years there she led several software projects and had key interactions with Fortune 500 companies using AMD's products.

Her focus since AMD has been with SourceCoast, Inc. as the primary developer for Joomla extensions and also specializing in custom contract development. This dual focus allows her to create tailored solutions that meet specific client needs while also exploring her own innovative projects.

By working and engaging with clients on semi or fully-custom websites, Melissa's proven time and time again to be able to take complex customer requirements and reduce them down to the core functionality a client really needs. This ability to reduce and improve is instrumental to Realty Hook's development model -- Add the functionality that's customer's want while avoiding any features & settings that overly-complicate the end goal.
